Foresight to build a more diverse economy centered around our natural assets in building tourism assets to be enjoyed by all.

That is the founding principle of EKY Heritage Foundation. Started as an idea and project to enhance tourism in Letcher County, Thunder Mountain Shooting Reserve was the first project EKY Heritage Foundation embarked on. Now, we are working on that project along with a totally unprecedented in our region mountain bike trail system with a conference center and cabins for overnight stays!

We’ve come a long way since 2019, but we are just getting started!
